September 23-26 Film Festival Blesses Many

Coffee Hour conversation with Virginia Mennonite Retirement Community's Park Village residents.

The Shenandoah Valley InThrive Film Festival, featuring stories by and about incarceration survivors, got off to an animated start at VMRC's Village Hall Wednesday. This was followed by screenings at EMU, Mary Baldwin University and Bridgewater College, with a concluding event yesterday at the Divine Unity Community Church in Harrisonburg. 

Thanks to the good work of InThrive's founder David Smith and many others, some 750 people benefited from the films, discussion panels (made up of formerly incarceration persons) and art work created by men and women in our local jails.     

Our special thanks to all who supported this Valley Justice Coalition effort, Park Rose Apartments, Cook Attorneys, Hometown Realty Group, Bridgewater College, VMRC and Park View Federal Credit Union.
